When Fry, a something dim-witted 25 year-old pizza delivery boy for Panucci's Pizza is asked to compose a drop at Applied Cryogenics, it's the beginning of a travel that will take him more than a thousand years into the futurity. Fry falls into one of the company's capsules an>d doesn't become visible until the dawn of the year 3000. Here he befriends a fine one-eyed alien called Leela (a worker at the New York based cryogenics manufacturing establishment) and a degenerate robot named Bender. The trio track down Fry's cyclopean-great-great-etc. nephew, Professor Farnsworth, who hires the three to act for his intergalactic delivery service. Together they traverse the cosmos delivering movables for Planet Express, Leela serves as the ship's captain and Bender indulges in his have affection for of booze, large cigars and pornography. Episode Summary: After going farther into the future with no hope of returning, the crew is strained to develop a plan to stop a strange race of discerning cats that has invaded Mother Earth, causing utter chaos and infectious over the planet.
